It the 2 days we saw the Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, The National Museum, Great Wall, The Olympic Village, and 2 "factories" that make Chinese crafts. It was a lot to pack in in 2 days, especially with a little one. We were happy to find out that there is another family here too right now and we've enjoyed spending the last 2 days touring with them. Here are a few of the things we got to see.
Jim entering through the gates of heaven |
Interior of one of the temples |
The largest temple reserved for the gods |
Charlie sleeping through Tiananmen Square |
The National Museum (directly across from Tiananmen Square) |
Making a coper vase at the cloisonné factory |
Painting a coper vase at the cloisonné factory |
We had great weather for the Great Wall. It was warm and sunny. The stair were a little too steep and I kept Charlie down low while Jim was able to climb pretty high and get some great pictures. |
Bird's Nest Stadium used to the Olympic games |
Water Cube (aquatic center) changes different colors at night |
The boys outside of our hotel checking out the beer garden |
Charlie passed out around 6 pm...he's exhausted! |
